About Nairobi National Park
Nairobi National Park is the world's only national park within a capital city — covering 117 km² on Nairobi's southern edge and accessible in under 30 minutes from the CBD. It is home to the highest density of black rhinos in Kenya, along with lion, cheetah, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hippo, crocodile, and over 400 bird species, all framed against the Nairobi skyline.
The park opens daily from 06:00 to 18:00. Game drives are best in the early morning when predators are most active. A visit pairs well with the nearby Ivory Burning Site Monument and the Animal Orphanage at the main gate.
